$4.1 million headed toward universities to study cultivation optimization, pest defense, and terpene production. It’s good to see serious money finally catching up to what legacy growers have known for decades: controlling microclimates and managing pests naturally is the key to maximizing compound expression. But my curiosity is piqued. Will this academic push toward 'optimal grow tech' simply validate the intuitive knowledge earned by years in the garden, or will it genuinely reveal a blind spot in our field practices? There's a delicate balance between lab theory and the kind of knowledge the plant only teaches you when your hands are in the dirt.
