The news out of New Jersey regarding cultivation space expansion is interesting. The regulators are clearly aiming to help growers react faster to market demands, which sounds pragmatic. But for those who have lived through massive scaling, we know that simply adding square footage is the easy part. The true test of a master grower isn't how much space they have, but how perfectly they control the environment within that space. Doubling the room means doubling the potential for airflow dead zones, VPD inconsistencies, and nutrient drift. When the pressure for volume increases, quality is often the first thing to pay the price. Let’s talk about operational reality, not just regulatory changes.
