The plant is an old friend, and we treat it like a federally controlled asset. Enough. We need to stop arguing about taxes and licensing fees and start debating ownership. Imagine if Congress declared *Cannabis sativa* a protected, naturalized wild crop—legally tradable (barter system only) but industrial-scale cultivation is explicitly forbidden. This would instantly elevate craft growers and decentralize the economy, but it means intentionally bankrupting every MSO who bet on standardization. Is destroying corporate cannabis the necessary ethical price for true plant freedom?
